Obtain a move-in permit: Many buildings and communities in the UAE require renters to obtain licenses in order to enter and exit. Before moving, check with your landlord or management company to see if this is necessary for your new home. You will typically need to provide your tenancy contract, Ejari, passport copy, and visa copy to obtain a move-in permit.
Transfer your internet and TV services: Make sure to transfer your internet and TV services to your new address before your move-in date. Go to an Etisalat or Du store and bring your Emirates ID, passport, and new lease with you. There may be a small fee for this service, and it can take 2-4 days for a technician to visit. Be sure to check which service providers are accepted at your new residence, as some buildings only allow Etisalat or Du.
Prepare the property: It's a good idea to make a list of any repairs, painting, or cleaning that needs to be done before you move in.
