Poised to break out as the UAE next major place to be; Al Ghadeer is becoming known as a modern and
vibrant city located near the border of Abu Dhabi. Despite its development into an urban, gentrified hub, Al
Ghadeer has still managed to retain its n
atural desert oasis feel, which makes it appeal greatly to locals and
visitors.
The ambitious new development plans will continue to help the location thrive for decades to come. The
plan involves building over 14,000 new homes, from luxury villas, upmarket townhouses to stylish
marionettes and apartments. Office space and amenities for those living and working in the area are also
planned.
Al Ghadeer is set to place an emphasis on agricultural development with its new state of the art allotments
known as Harvest. Not only that but development will also contain a location called the Market where items
grown at the allotments can be bought and sold between the residents.
Another key feature of Al Ghadeer will be solar power. Solar lighting will be used to power the public areas,
taking advantage of the sun's rays during the day to illuminate the area by night. This also wonderfully fits
with Al Ghadeer's green initiative and hopefully will encourage others to take advantage of this fantastic
technology.
